Ana – Muslim owner of Marco Polo
Meet Ana, the warm and beautiful owner of this fantastic restaurant, Marco Polo in Island Korcula, Croatia. They serve fusion food, mostly Turkish cuisine (70%) and Italian cuisine (30%). They did a special order for me, a specialty of Korcula Island called “macaroni Bolognese”. Interestingly they call penne pasta ‘macaroni’. I can relate as growing up in Karachi, mom always made this. So popular! Croatian influence in Karachi perhaps!
